Quality Manager (Automotive Tier 1)

Our client is a global leading automotive supplier and they have requested us to search for a Quality Manager for their Manufacturing facility in Tultitlan, Edo. Mex.

GENERAL PURPOSE
Manage the Company's Quality System and ensure that plant meets all quality system requirements to maintain the customers Certifications, IATF 16949 standard.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Administer consistent treatment of people in regards to all policies and procedures
  • Exemplify the total quality image and direction
  • Manage the deployment of quality related systems and procedures to all plant levels and processes
  • Ensure KPI tracking are up to date and are being utilized
  • Facilitate the required reaction to customers concerns and/or issues
  • Coach coordinators in problem solving methodology
  • Maintain and improve the performance of quality ratings with the customers
  • Assure the quality of products from raw materials receipt to finished product delivery
  • Maintain and improve the quality operating system
  • Assure the solution of quality problems in products (external and internal)
  • Promote the continuous improvement in our processes
  • Provide support in the implementation of new projects
  • Manage data collection system, ensure timely and accurate data at all times
  • Manage containment activity
  • Ensure PPAPs are completed on time
  • Additional responsibilities as required - this position is subject to change as the needs of the department change

Quality
  • Offer ideas for improvement of all systems and help implement them
  • Lead area in achieving plant quality objectives/goals
  • Understand customer needs and work towards meeting and exceeding them
  • 100% on-time delivery to customer
  • Target 0 PPM on parts for all our customers
  • Manage the impact of engineering changes to your area
  • Manage line quality coordinators for your area
  • Complete and maintain service PPAPs

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years experience or 15+ years of automotive related quality experience including familiarity with “Big 3” system requirements such as Ford's Q1, TS16949, Control Plans, FMEAs, etc.
  • Multicultural awareness and 3+ years in global company.
  • Expertise in Toyota Production System (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma) budget management, strong understanding of financial metrics, and proficiency with statistical analysis tools and processes.

  • Excellent communication, analytical, problem solving, planning, team orientation and presentation skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive attitude
  • Excellent control of stress, proactively.
  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint)
  • Dimensional gauging related experience, including gage control, GR&R’s, CMMs, etc.
  • SPC experience, including control charting, control limit and Cpk calculations, etc.
