Operations Manager

Job Summary:
The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily manufacturing and operational activities within the automotive supplier plant. This role ensures that production goals are met while maintaining quality, safety, and cost-efficiency standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing operations, lean management, and supply chain coordination.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily plant operations, including production, logistics, and quality assurance.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead and mentor a team of supervisors, engineers, and production staff.
  • Manage budgets and optimize operational costs.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and customers to ensure timely production and delivery schedules.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork within the plant.
  • Support new product launches and process transitions.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in operations management within an automotive or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with ERP systems and production planning tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Understanding of automotive quality standards such as IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 is a plus.
