Human Resources Manager

Our client, an automotive industry leader has requested us to search for an experienced Human Resources Manager for their manufacturing plant in Ramos Arizpe, Coah.

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead all HR functions at our unionized manufacturing facility in Ramos Arizpe, Coah. This role requires a strategic and hands-on leader who can manage labor relations, drive employee engagement, and support operational goals in a fast-paced automotive production environment. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of Mexican labor laws, union negotiations, and best practices in talent management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Labor Relations & Union Management
    • Act as the primary liaison with the labor union.
    • Lead and support collective bargaining agreement (CBA) negotiations.
    • Ensure compliance with union agreements and resolve grievances and disputes.
    • Foster a constructive labor-management relationship.
  • Compliance & Legal
    • Ensure full compliance with Mexican labor laws, IMSS, INFONAVIT, and STPS regulations.
    • Manage internal and external audits related to labor, safety, and social security.
  • Talent Management
    • Oversee full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies for all plant roles.
    • Partner with operations to identify workforce planning needs and skill gaps.
    • Implement training and development programs to enhance workforce capabilities.
  • Performance & Engagement
    • Develop and monitor KPIs related to HR metrics such as turnover, absenteeism, and employee satisfaction.
    • Promote a positive workplace culture focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
    • Lead initiatives around employee recognition, feedback, and internal communications.
  • HR Operations & Administration
    • Manage payroll processes in coordination with finance and external providers.
    • Supervise personnel files, HRIS data integrity, and benefits administration.
    • Lead health & safety initiatives in collaboration with EHS teams.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related field.
  • Master’s degree or HR certifications (e.g., SHRM, HRCI) preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience in manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven experience working in a unionized environment and participating in CBA negotiations.
  • Strong knowledge of Mexican labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Advanced English proficiency required.
