Maintenance Manager

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Maintenance Manager to lead and oversee the maintenance operations of our automotive manufacturing plant in Puebla. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and efficiency of plant equipment and infrastructure, while driving preventive maintenance strategies and continuous improvement in support of production goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage the plant’s preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
  • Lead, coach, and supervise a multidisciplinary maintenance team (mechanical, electrical, facilities).
  • Monitor and control maintenance budget, spare parts inventory, and maintenance KPIs.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Support production teams by responding effectively to equipment failures or process disruptions.
  • Oversee maintenance of utilities and infrastructure (compressed air, HVAC, electrical, water treatment, etc.).
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (TPM, Lean Maintenance, root cause analysis).
  • Lead installation, commissioning, and start-up of new equipment and production lines.
  • Coordinate with engineering, production, and quality departments for cross-functional improvement projects.
  • Ensure documentation and compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and other relevant standards.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in a maintenance leadership role within the automotive or high-volume manufacturing sector.
  • Strong technical knowledge in automation, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, robotics, and industrial electrical systems.
  • Proven experience in implementing TPM, Lean Manufacturing, and CMMS systems.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.
  • Fluent in Spanish; English proficiency required.

Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
  • Experience working in a unionized environment.
  • SAP or other ERP maintenance module experience.
