SUMMARY The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery of the Company’s products. This role leads production teams, manages resources, and drives continuous improvement initiatives. The Production Manager collaborates with engineering, quality, and supply chain departments to meet production goals and customer expectations. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills are essential for success in this role. PRIMARY DUTIES The Production Manager ensures that manufacturing operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with company standards and objectives.
Lead and supervise production teams to meet daily, weekly, and monthly output targets.
Monitor production schedules and adjust resources to ensure timely delivery of products.
Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve production issues and improve product quality.
Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
Train, coach, and develop team members to enhance performance and engagement.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on production metrics to senior leadership.
Manage labor, materials, and equipment to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
Support new product introductions and process changes on the production floor.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, manufacturing processes, and production planning.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational abilities.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
Preferred:
Experience in HVAC or related mechanical/electrical manufacturing industries.
Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or Project Management (e.g., PMP).
