HR Operations & Payroll Coordinator

Position Objective
Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing and effective personnel administration for the manufacturing facility, maintaining compliance, confidentiality, and reliable HR information to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and validate payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees.
  • Manage payroll inputs including attendance, overtime, vacations, leaves of absence, disabilities, and other employee transactions.
  • Coordinate employee hires, terminations, and employment changes within HR systems and applicable government institutions.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files.
  • Manage time & attendance systems, HRIS, and HR databases.
  • Support the administration of employee benefits and other HR operational processes.
  • Prepare and monitor headcount, absenteeism, turnover, overtime, and other HR metrics.
  • Support internal and external audits related to payroll and personnel administration.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable labor, payroll, tax, and social security requirements.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in Payroll and HR Administration within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing payroll for large employee populations, preferably 500+ employees.
  • Working knowledge of Mexican Federal Labor Law (LFT), IMSS, INFONAVIT, and payroll-related requirements.
  • Experience with payroll systems, HRIS, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Automotive industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Intermediate English proficiency.
  • Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, analytical skills, and customer-service orientation.
